One Wednesday night we visited the home of friends to watch a football game together. Their 13 y.o. daughter greeted us on crutches, as she had damaged all the ligaments across the top of her foot a few days previously. Her doctor had advised she would require the crutches for weeks. During the game, I gave rei-ki to her foot for about an hour, by which time the pain had gone and she was able to put her foot on the floor with minimal discomfort. Although she took her crutches to school the following day, she found them to be a nuisance because her foot felt fine. That Friday night she went dancing ... and again on Saturday. We were both thrilled at her rapid recovery. This article originally appeared in Rei-ki Happenings 25
