Free Lectures and Seminars
Barbara McGregor would like to thank all of you who have recommended people to her courses. Many of you send friends, relations and clients regularly. This is very much appreciated by her. As there are so many people claiming to be rei-ki 'masters' nowadays, word of mouth is invaluable. It gives the person attending the course confidence, knowing that they have a personal recommendation to the Rei-ki teacher. Please offer your local co-ordinator's telephone number or e-mail address so that they can contact us personally. Or send in a name and address, or ask that an information pack be sent to you to pass on.
Rei-ki I and Children
Children are accepted as participants in Rei-ki I seminars from the age of seven upwards. However we do ask that they attend the preliminary introductory evening and stay to meet the teacher afterwards, to confirm their acceptance into the class. Children aged 7 to 10 may be given modified hours throughout the seminar. Teenagers attend the same hours as adults and a parent must be present throughout the weekend program. Rei-ki is beneficial to reduce stress, maintain calm, aid memory and enhance sleep for youngsters as well as adults.

Absent Healing
We receive numerous calls requesting absent healing in times of illness, accident and personal distress. For example, rei-ki was sent to a five year old girl who was in a coma after falling from her pony. Sending healing over distance in Rei-ki II is amazingly effective. If you are in Rei-ki II and would like to be part of the absent healing team please phone us at Rei-ki House.

Canberra
Groups and World Service
Canberra has a number of very active reiki groups going, and the co-ordinator is always looking to start more, or help past graduates find a new group to attend. Canberra also has the oldest continuously running World Service group, where the entire session is spent working absently on an important issue, with time also set aside for the group to support an individual absently (with that person's consent). Groups determine for themselves how frequently they meet, but once a fortnight is not uncommon. World Service takes place one Sunday afternoon per month.
Canberra Retreat
There will be a 4 day retreat in Canberra running from January 22nd (evening), until late afternoon on January 26th.

Melbourne
Open Group
Melbourne runs an open group once a fortnight. This group is for any past graduates who want to attend, but is also open to anyone else who would like to experience Reiki.
Pizza and Reiki Get Togethers
Past graduates are able to attend social pizza evenings, with much jollity ensuing over the night. Pizza is consumed with everyone contributing to the purchase, and lots of reiki is exchanged.
